Known-Interference Cancellation in Cooperative Jamming: Experimental Evaluation and Benchmark Algorithm Performance

Physical layer security is a sought-after concept to complement the established upper techniques in wireless communications. An appealing approach achieve physical use cooperative jamming with interference that known and suppressible by legitimate receiver but unknown to, hence not by, eavesdropper. Suppressing (KI), however, challenging due numerous unknowns, including carrier sampling frequency offsets, impact its reception. This letter presents measurement campaign captures this challenge then demonstrates feasibility of solving cancelling KI using offsets least mean squares (FO-LMS) algorithm. Results show suppression directly improves processing signal-of-interest effectively provides at layer.
